China's tremendous development as a chemical logistics market was fully in evidence at last month's Transport Logistic China trade show at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The event drew 11,000 visitors - a 22 per cent increase over the last such event in 2006 - and featured 430 exhibitors - a 43 per cent increase over the previous event "This year, the demand of space was stronger than ever," says event organiser Messe Muenchen International. "Globalisation and booming business in the transport and logistics sector have been reflected in full at transport logistic China 2008, with more visitors, more exhibitors and a significantly higher level of Chinese participation than ever." Exhibitors that provide services related to bulk liquid transport included tank container operators S&W International Chemical Logistics; tank container lessors GE SeaCo, Sea-Axis and TAL International; tank container manufacturers Nantong Tank Container (NTtank) and China International Marine Containers (CIMC); tank container equipment provider Girard Equipment; and tank container service provider Blue Ocean.
