Few amendments to the Purple Book were recommended by the GHS experts at their 19th session. However, it did become apparent that there could be significant differences between those substances deemed to be health hazards during storage and handling and those whose transportation - including loading and unloading - poses similar dangers. The compilation of a harmonised list is not going to be an easy undertaking.
