Biesterfeld bolsters business

Hamburg-headquartered Biesterfeld Group reports that its pan-European Biesterfeld Spezialchemie division has expanded its speciality chemicals business in Italy through the establishment of a new joint venture with the shareholders of Biesterfeld Polybass. The new entity, Biesterfeld Polychem, will distribute speciality chemicals in the fields of pharmaceuticals, organic synthesisers, plasticisers, antioxidants and flame retardants across the entire country. "After years of great success [for] Biesterfeld Polybass in the business area [of] plastics, we're pleased to be working with the shareholders of Biesterfeld Polybass in the speciality chemicals sector," says Biesterfeld Spezialchemie's managing director Dr Onno Graalmann.
