Although the primary purpose of the Reusable Industrial Packaging Association (RIPA) is to represent the interests of North American packaging reconditioners and distributors of reconditioned packagings, its membership also includes a number of manufacturers. While these manufacturing members are predominantly focused on the production of new drums and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), their operations also encompass reconditioning.
