Wisconsin's environmental agency struck language on the causes of climate change from its website after an inquiry from a local newspaper. The state Department of Natural Resources had long said on its website that human impact and greenhouse gas emissions are the main causes of climate change (Climatewire, Jan. 3). But two days after The Lakeland Times questioned Department of Natural Resources Secretary Cathy Stepp about the website, the language disappeared.
