The Argentine province of Salta has called bidding for the construction of a 25-kilometer pipeline water pipeline and a 25-kilometer distribution network. The system, known as Acueducto Sur, will supply water to 200,000 inhabitants in the southern districts of Salta, capital of the northern province. ENOHSA, the federal waterworks promotion and financing agency, is financing the 50.1-million peso ($16 million), 720-day project. It will start selling bidding documents September 27 and open bids October 30.
