Pipeline industry leaders are pulling up virtual chairs at the Spatial Roundtable to discuss how pipeline operators locate assets. Hosted by ESRI, the online discussion features timely topics as they relate to geographic information system (GIS) technology. Leading discussions is ESRI pipeline and gas industry manager Rob Brook, recounting changes in pipeline operations and questioning the continued use of stationing, a linear method of defining the position of assets.
