Flying down to Rio

The 27th International Cartographic Conference (ICC), to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 23 to 28 August 2015, is now only a few months away. This will be a unique opportunity for the global community of cartographers and GIScience researchers and practitioners to meet colleagues, present research work, exchange ideas, display cartographic products, get connected with a range of like-minded international citizens, and have a good time in one of the most famous cities in the world! As the world's authoritative body for cartography and GIScience, the International Cartographic Association is pleased that Brazil, one of the most dynamic member nations of ICA, is hosting the event. For the past several years, many prominent Brazilian and Latin-American organisations have been dedicated to work on the success of the Conference, and it is certain that it will be a wonderful event.
