摘要

Firstly, the authors would like to thank Huang (discusser) for his interest on the work and for his helpful comments. Four main points are made by the discusser: (1) the influence of cohesion intercept of moist soils; (2) the selection of failure mechanisms; (3) the parameters in the authors' model; and (4) the cohesion-related scale effect on the value of bearing capacity ratio (BCR). All these points are addressed below in the aforementioned stated order.
