Welcome readers to the first edition of Fitting Remarks for 2021. As I write this, the easing of lockdown is gradually allowing us to return once more to the high street. And while we inch our way towards normality - or dare I say it, 'the new normal' -I think we can all agree that our appreciation of space is stronger than ever before. With more businesses opening their doors to welcome back customers and employees, we can once again reunite with friends, family and colleagues in our favourite work, entertainment, dining and retail environments. This is the salient power of bricks and mortar - the ability to connect people through physical experiences - something which online channels quite simply, and ironically, cannot deliver.
