Dmcc Dubai Multi Commodities Centre is Establishing Dubai as an International Commodities Trading Hub

In 2002, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) launched with little more than a 200-hectare land bank, comprising a vacant stretch of desert in what was then the outskirts of the city. Today, that land is home to the world's third-largest diamond trading hub, responsible for more than $41 billion in diamonds traded through the emirate last year. It also has solidified Dubai's place as a leading regional processing center for gold, with $56 billion of the precious metal moving through the Free Zone in 2011.
