A Stroud bakery was slapped with a huge fine after mouldy food was found at the site - some of which was almostthree months out of date.Woodchester manufacturing bakery J.Hall and Sons (Bakers) Ltd, which has retail outlets in Stroud, Nailsworth,Tetbury, Cirencester and Swindon, was fined £6,400 after admitting breaching food safety managementlegislation in court.Stroud District Council food safety inspectors made the discovery during a routine check-up at Hall's QualityBakers in Woodchester.When inspectors visited the bakery in January of this year, they opened the walk-in fridge and discoveredextensive mould growth on numerous items of food - one of which was almost three months out of date.The items that were found to have mould on them included cartons of cream, tins of fruit, egg yolk and a tublabelled sourdough starter.
