Cwmbran Premier Stores shop boss fined £7k after goods were fouled by rat droppings and urine

The director of a company running a Premier Stores shop in Cwmbran must pay more than £7,000 for three separate offences relating to food hygiene. Rashid Iqbal was found guilty of each of the three charges brought against him. He was fined £2,250 for his failure to protect food from a risk of contamination and £1,000 each for failing to ensure the garages were pest proofed and failing to put in place procedures to control pests.
