Preparations for the opening of the Romanian Aviation Museum at the former Pipera air base, in a leafy suburb of Bucharest, are progressing well. This location is highly significant in the nation's aviation heritage - opened in 1916 it was a flying station until the end of World War Two and a repair centre until 2005.
