Benito Mussolini adopted this as both the emblem for his political movement and its name - Fascism.rnAlthough Mussolini had been in power in Italy since 1923, it was not until 1935 that the Regia Aeronautica Italiana (Royal Italian Air Force) adopted the Fascist badge. The wing insignia consisted of three stylized fasces, within a circular field on the upper and lower surfaces.
