Afresh face with a familiar family name, Leah Hammond, has been piloting Auster V G-AMVD at UK airshows through the summer, since gaining her display authorisation in June. Not surprisingly Leah also has experience on two of her father Maurice's 'fleet', Boeing PT-13D Kaydet N4712V and NA T-6D G-ELMH. To the obvious question of whether she is looking to fly either of dad's North American P-51D Mustangs, Leah admits that this would be a couple of years away yet.
