Caribous Earmarked Foraustralian Museums

A pair of DHC-4 Caribou transports have been earmarked for museums in Australia, as the RAAF continues to phase out the type. The 13-strong fleet is being withdrawn from service as examples become due for expensive major maintenance, and all will be retired by the end of 2009.rnSo far, Caribou A4-152 has been allocated to the RAAF Museum, Point Cook, Victoria, and A4-140 is scheduled for the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. Both are expected to be delivered in early 2010.
