Ordained To Fly

Now I could no longer fly with the RAF, I acquired an 'A' licence by filling in a form and on the June 21, 1947, pottered down to Fairoaks, Surrey. One of the instructors, Collinson by name, gave me a check circuit in DH Tiger Moth G-AHRW. They had another Tiger, G-AHUT, inevitably called 'The Hut', which I also flew regularly. I was back in harness!
