Spitfire on the mend

Members of the Royal Netherlands Air Force Historical Flight are making good progress with the restoration of Supermarine Spitfire IX MK732 (PH-OUQ) at Gilze Rijen. The fighter, originally built at Castle Bromwich, West Midlands, in 1944, was damaged in a landing incident several years ago, but is expected to fly again in 2010. It may well gain yet-to-be-decided new markings.
