Canadian Spitfire goes 'home'

Supermarine Spitfire XIV RM873 has been delivered to Gatineau-based Vintage Wings of Canada from Duxford's Aircraft Restoration Company. The Griffon-powered fighter will be restored to airworthy status over the next five years, and will join the operator's other two Spitfires. The new arrival has plenty of Canadian history, having served with 401,402 and 411 RCAF sguadrons, going on to operate with the Royal Thai Air Force. It will eventually be returned to the markings it wore with 401, and will wear the codes YO-W.
