As this issue has a decidedly Soviet theme, it's pleasing to note that the Shuttleworth Collection's Polikarpov has re-flown after an epic restoration. The engineering difficulties rebuilding this rare type must have been immense, as Russian aircraft and powerplant designs are very different from 'Western' machines. The type of wood and technigues used must have really pushed the team, so a big 'well done'goes out to all involved.
