Wartime Cadet to be restored

The Turin branch of GAVS (Gruppo Amici Velivoli Storici, or Historical Aircraft Preservation Group), has recently completed preservation work on the Ansaldo SVA10 biplane, currently on display at the Gabriele d'Annunzio Museum in Gardone Riviera, Italy. Flying this aircraft, famous Italian poet Natale PalIi led a leaflet-dropping raid over Vienna, Austria, on August 9,1918. GAVS has worked on the Great War machine twice before, firstly in 1988 when it undertook conservation and cleaning tasks, and secondly in 1989 when a number of missing parts were installed.
