The attached photograph shows four members of a USAAF aircrew stationed at the Combat Crew Replacement Unit at Yarnfield, near Stone, Staffordshire. The civilian in the centre is my late father, Cyril Harrison, who was then manager of the local Barclays Bank, and these officers were billeted in our house. It appears to be a posed photograph, celebrating the birth of twins, and the officer in the dressing gown appears to be the proud father with the mother being the uniformed lady in the photograph. As two of the officers appear to be captains and the one on the right a major, it's possibly a crew that has survived their tour and is awaiting return to the USA. The picture was almost certainly taken in 1944 or 1945 and I was only a couple of years old, so do not remember then. However, even if none of these officers are still alive the twins probably are and, if so, I would love to be able to contact them and also find out the names of these other gallant Americans.
