A rare Thomas-Pigeon flying boat has recently been completed and put on display at the Yanks Air Museum in Chino, California. Little is known about the aircraft, but it appears to have been built for Reginald DeNoyes, a World War One US Navy veteran, and the director of the Boston, Massachusetts-based Thomas Pigeon Aeroplane Company. The machine is fitted with a 100hp (74kW) Gnome rotary engine mounted over the fuselage and below the upper wing. The flying boat was discovered in the rafters of the Pigeon Hollow Spar company during 1961, and was restored by Tony Furukawa.
