Heron prototype sold in Australia

After a year of negotiations, the prototype de Havilland Heron VH-CJS (formerly G-ALZL, LN-BDH and OY-DGS) has been sold to the International Airline Museum in Melbourne, Australia. During its 14 years with the Aviation Heritage Museum (AHM) of Bull Creek in Western Australia, all major parts of the airframe had been repaired and primed, and the engines brought up to display standard, before a decision was taken to cease all work on the aircraft. First flown on May 10,1950, it was operated by British European Airways followed by several others before being flown to Australia and registered VH-CJS in July 1973.
