Messerschmitt Me 262 replica N262MF arrived at its new home, the Fighter Factory in Virginia Beach, Suffolk, United States, on October 23. Having successfully undergone a test flight programme (see Snowbird in the November issue) with Legend Flyers at Paine Field, Washington dc, it was flown across the US in seven legs over nine hours by pilot Wolfgang Czaia and flight mechanic Mike Anderson. The aircraft will remain in the Virginia Beach hangar until all paperwork has been completed, but Fighter Factory boss Jerry Yagen hopes that it will be available for its first public display at the annual Warbirds Over The Beach event on May 20 and 21,2012.
