Rare US classic in Germany

In October, Kinner Sportster NC14201 was delivered from the US to Regio, Mengen, in south-west Germany, having been acquired by the Antique Aero Flyers group. The rare 1930s-era aircraft arrived in a container, having been displayed for many years at the Californian Wings of History museum. Only a few dozen of the two-seat sports aircraft were built by the Kinner Airplane & Motor Corporation in Glendale, California, and Antique Aero Flyers' example is one of just two that are currently airworthy. In addition to the Sportster, the group already operates a 1929-built Curtiss Robin, a Travel Air 4000 biplane (also built in 1929), a Ryan STA Special, and a Morane-Saulnier MS.317.
