The Hagerstown Aviation Museum (HAM) is in the process of preparing its Fairchild C-123 Provider N681DG to fly to its Maryland base from Fort Lauderdale in Florida. A crew from the museum travelled to Florida in November to inspect the 1956-built aircraft in readiness for the ferry flight. The C-123 was found to be in good overall condition and although the engines ran well and all major systems were satisfactory, some time-consuming and costly work still needs to be done. Staff at HAM are now seeking the support of its local community to complete the task.
