Welcome to the December FlyPast, an issue that brings the curtain down on a superb year for the historic aviation scene, especially here in the UK. Looking back on the last 12 months, it's impossible not to immediately think of the extraordinary tour by the two Avro Lancasters, and in particular the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum's magnificent achievement in bringing 'Vera' all the iuay to these shores from Ontario (and back again) successfully. Hopefully this will inspire other overseas warbird operators to give serious consideration to bringing their charges over.
