Kennet Aviation's delightful North Weald-based Supermarine Seafire XVII SX336 is making a welcome return to the airshovv circuit this year, after an absence of several years. This follows a major overhaul of the engine and airframe, which was completed in time for the aircraft to position to RAF Leuchars in preparation for the flypast at the launch of HMS Queen Elizabeth on July 4, 2014. Sadly poor weather precluded SX336's participation. The fighter took to the air again in February 2015 for the funeral of former Fleet Air Arm (FAA) Seafire pilot, Capt Terence 'Pablo' Percy, who concluded his illustrious career as commanding officer of RNAS Yeovilton, where he oversaw the opening of the Fleet Air Arm Museum.
