In the 74 Squadron Glory Days article in the July issue, the photo of three ground crew studying the underside of the Lightning wing is in fact showing armourers preparing to load the two Firestreak missiles. The senior NCO (SNCO) on the left (SNCOs wore dust jackets back then) is removing a blanking plug from the wing. In his right hand he is holding a double-clawed hook to screw into the wing, the hook supporting the weight of the missile loading winch. Once the winch is attached the cable is extended and hooked into the centre of the loading beam, seen by the foot of the third armourer.
