First flight approaches for Fokker reproduction

Fokker D.XXI PH-XXI, an airworthy reproduction of the Dutch World War Two fighter, has recently completed its first taxi run at Hoogeveen Airport in The Netherlands. Although the venture has been delayed by the impact of COVID-19,a team of volunteers led by Jack Van Egmond has overcome all issues - the project has now reached its final stages and the D.XXI is expected to fly later this summer. The Fokker's systems have now been tested, along with all flight controls. The final weight and balance checks have also been completed successfully. Final work on the cockpit and the fine tuning of some of the sheet metal and wheel covers is currently in progress.
