It gives me great pleasure to present our special tribute to the Battle of Britain. However, this is tinged with a hint of sadness that we cannot mark this 80th anniversary as planned due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Over the coming months we should have been enjoying airworthy World War Two fighters paying homage to 'The Few', but the pandemic has prevented this. There is light at the end of the tunnel, though, with news that the Imperial War Museum Duxford is to stage a flying proms event on Friday, September 18, and an airshow on the Saturday and Sunday. After so long without getting our warbird 'fix', this will be hugely welcome, albeit with social distancing measures in place and capped ticket numbers.
