Boeing 747-400 PH-BFB was transported by road from Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands to the Corendon Village Hotel in Badhoevedorp, where it has been placed on display. The 232ft-long (70.7m) jet left the airport on the back of a 48-wheel trailer operated by Mammoet, a heavy transport specialist. The former KLM airliner was retired last November after almost three decades of service and was sold to Corendon. Following its last commercial flight, it was flown to Rome and painted into Corendon's company colours, arriving back at Schiphol on December 14. All four engines were removed before it was transported over five days to its final destination, arriving on February 10.
