This month's splendid artwork depicts a USAF 390th Fighter-Bomber Squadron F-84F Thunderstreak flown by the wing commander of the 366th Fighter Bomber Wing in 1956.In the same year, French Air Force F-84Fs and RF-84Fs flew operationally over Egypt as part of the Anglo-French plan to capture and re-open the Suez Canal. But it wasn't until 1961-62 that the 366th FBW undertook its first overseas deployment, supporting NATO during the Berlin Crisis.
