Four Pi Inc., Skyraider

The Douglas Skyraider is one of those full-size aircraft that lends itself well to a model. Its outline is good with generous tail surfaces and fuselage length. The nose is fairly long for a radial engine powered airplane. This is a great help when balancing, requiring little or no nose weight. The Skyraider described here is offered by Four Pi Inc. It is an 80-inch wing span sport scale, Almost Ready to Cover (ARC) model. The kit includes all assemblies, fuselage, wing panels and tail surfaces pre-built and sanded, but uncovered. Construction is all balsa and plywood. Workmanship on the kit was excellent as was the quality of the balsa it was built and covered with. Most of the hardware that is required is included and appears to be of very good quality.
