Safety Switch

I have had three lithium polymer packs go bad while being charged in my shop. I know the rules: anyone that flies electric planes using lithium polymer battery packs has read the warning "do not charge while unattended". Knowing that we are not going to watch the packs for the 40 minutes or so while it charges we put the pack in fireproof containers and stay in the area with it. That is containment, not being attendance. At fun flys and other events, I have witnessed packs being charged unattended and sometimes not even contained.
