The Hawker Sea Fury is arguably one of the most beautiful propeller-driven fighters of all time. Less arguable is that it was one of the fastest and most technologically advanced piston powered aircraft prior to the domination of the jet engine. It cannot be argued that the Sea Fury has been a very popular modeling subject in all variety of sizes for many years. This was not the first Sea Fury of which your humble scribe has had the pleasure of manning the sticks. Way back in the October 2008 issue of FM, I reviewed a 71-inch Sea Fury (which I still fly today) and found it extremely easy to fly despite being rather heavy. When I saw E-flite's rendition of the Sea Fury (also WJ232) I just had to get my mitts on one. Now if you're thinking to yourself "Chris, this ARF was introduced years ago...it's old news!" well, you'd be half right. The E-flite Sea Fury was first offered way back in 2008 and was a hit. Eventually, like most models, it was discontinued after a good run and I missed out. However, requests for a re-release must have been high because it's back!
