From August 27-31, Frankfurt am Main became the lifestyle capital of Europe, as 3,706 companies from 88 countries converged at the Tendence Lifestyle show to present new products and trends for the fall/winter and Christmas seasons. Held each fall, the world's largest consumer goods trade show is the first opportunity to showcase new products in the latter half of the year; it is the prelude to the whirlwind of international industry trade shows that follow. Nearly 60 percent of the exhibitors (2,212 companies) were from abroad. This ensures that international buyers receive a unique overview of global trends in the consumer goods market, which are strongly influenced by young designers.
