Bad news are good news, that's the maxim of editors from most media, whether on radio, on TV or with newspapers. Bad news increase the number of listeners resp. the circulation - how can it be that good news are less interesting? Is it pure joy of the sensation of human beings or is it just masochism and one enjoys to hear or read how bad mankind is or how horrible everything is approaching us.
