BBJs to have split scimitar winglets fitted as standard

All Boeing Business Jets will be fitted with split scimitar winglets (SSW) as standard from mid-2016, BBJ president David Longridge announced at the show. The Aviation Partners wing-tip modification will deliver up to 2% of improvements showing as either an additional 120nm (222km) of range or an extra 453kg (1,000lb) of payload. A BBJ fitted with the new winglets was on display at the show static park. "I think seeing it in the flesh makes a large difference," Longridge says.
