Public perception of the truck technician as a professional is not as flattering as it should be. It takes hard work, dedication, skill, knowledge and practice just to keep up with rapidly changing truck technology. Yet, we tend to view the technician as a commodity and then wonder why morale among technicians is low. Recognizing and celebrating the contribution of technicians, who keep our trucks running, is an effective strategy to improving their image, which can also pay dividends.
