Hms belfast, one of London's top tourist attractions, has installed an advanced integrated voice alarm and public address (VA/PA) system from Notifier by Honeywell. This is a system providing comprehensive messaging and safety information and Notifier ESD Powerpoint Fire Systems were both the designers and installers of the VA/PA solution. The system includes a total of 12 circuits, with two circuits for each of the public, function and staff zones, both fore and aft. The design of the ship made it impossible to route the cabling directly between speakers, and this resulted in a requirement for around 12,000km of cabling in order to link up all of the speakers throughout the ship.
