New stations

Work has begun on a combined £8.5 million project to construct two new fire stations in Sheffield. The new stations at Parkway and Birley Moor will replace existing stations at Darnall, Mansfield Road and Mosborough. The new premises are expected to be completed and operational by next summer. To mark the start of the work, Sheffield South East MP Clive Betts and Sheffield City Council leader Julie Dore joined representatives from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service to visit the sites.
