I think the entire concept of a fire truck is changing. Granted, we are always going to need fire trucks with large capacities to be able to fight the occasional large fire. But the nature of Emergency Response is changing. A fire truck needs to engage its pump in around 6% of its calls, and most calls can be extinguished with the water on board.rnThis has led to a greater emphasis on equipment and storage capacity, as well as hybrid vehicles, such as Crimson's new FRAC (First Response All Calls) vehicle.
