In this second part of a series, Dittmar reveals the capabilities of the new technologies that are designed to establish interoperable communications among fire, police, rescue, emergency medical and management, and other government agencies. Dittmar notes that of the research areas surveyed, the areas of Communications and Firefighter Locator Systems reflected a high number of initiatives and multiparty involvement.
