Weinig AG has agreed to purchase Holz-Her, a company established in 1914. As of April 1, 2010 Holz-Her is under the ownership of Weinig. The company will be managed as an independent brand within the Weinig Group with its products CNC machining centers, edgebanding machines, pressure beam saws and vertical panel saws. This step allows both companies to consolidate their global market presence with innovative products and services for panel and solid wood processing. According to Weinig, this acquisition marks the company's return to its growth strategy, which had been interrupted by the economy.
