摘要

Iran's general-cargo and dry-bulk operator Bonyad Shipping Co (Bosco) is gradually consolidating liner services by shedding its chartering policy. Established in 1990, Bosco is increasingly being seen as an alternative to the mighty Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL). "We are set to acquire 14 new and second-hand vessels over the next three years to handle 10M tonnes of cargo a year," Bonyad managing director BM Seifollahi told Fairplay. These plans, he said, illustrate a policy to reduce the company's exposure to chartering in a bid to consolidate the Europe and Far East services and offer unrivalled quality services.
