Stephenson Harwood Singapore's managing partner, Martin Green, always knew he would develop his career in Asia. He was ahead of his time, however, when he predicted that Singapore would become a shipping hub. When he was only four, Green's family moved from their native England to Hong Kong. Although he studied law in the London School of Economics & Political Science, he returned to Hong Kong to practise. In 1991 he came to Singapore as part of the ship finance desk at Sinclair Roche & Temperley. He moved to Freehills, but it closed its Singapore practice in 1995.
