A New Zealand study has found that the productivity benefits businesses gain by moving to higher speed broadband are minimal compared to the gains from implementing lower speed broadband services - but it admits to many significant uncertainties in its conclusions.rnNew Zealand's Motu research institute has issued a report entitled "The Need for Speed: Impacts of Internet Connectivity on Finn Productivity. It claims that despite huge investment budgets associated with broadband (especially fibre) rollouts, "there has been little rigorous supporting evidence indicating that such connectivity brings material productivity benefits."
